It has been a very interesting and busy August. Buyers are out there looking and confident about making decisions. The highlight has been a flurry of showings and transactions with foreign nationals. I had the pleasure of showing one of our stunning Casey Key listings to a potential Italian buyer last week. This week I showed one of our amazing Siesta Key listings to both an Irish national and another family from Italy. That same family from Italy came to see one of our other listings in Coral Cove. We closed on the sale of a beautiful villa in Prestancia to a Canadian client and last but not least sold an extraordinary bayfront property to a Russian national and his family.
What does that tell us? Despite the strength of the US Dollar and many other things going on in the world, we are still a very interesting destination among foreign nationals. I can truly say having spent 8 years living and working in Europe and seeing many of Europe’s vacation destinations, that we can hold our own here in the Greater Sarasota area! Obviously, there are many Europeans that agree.
