Joel Schemmel
Attracted by the incredible climate and everything that the Greater Sarasota Area has to offer, Joel, together with his family, made the decision to move permanently to the area in early 2002 after several years of part time residency. He is from the mid-west and spent most of his professional career in Chicago and Europe.
Joel moved swiftly in the real estate world and is currently ranked among the top 1% of agents in Sarasota based on closed sales. A professional background, innovation, market knowledge and persistence are the key elements of his success.
Joel’s career also encompasses over fifteen years working with Arthur Andersen, Andersen Legal, and the Ernst & Young Law Alliance both in the USA and Europe. Joel was an International Partner within each of these organizations and immediately before returning to the USA, was managing partner of a 45-attorney law firm based in Central Europe which specialized in Mergers & Acquisitions.
Joel obtained his law degree from Chicago Kent College of Law and his accounting degree from the University of Iowa. He is a registered attorney in Florida, Illinois and the Czech Republic, and is a certificated C.P.A. in the state of Illinois.
The Schemmels have three young boys Jack, Jamie and Jacob all of whom are sports fanatics effectively translating into a busy schedule even outside the real estate world. The Schemmel’s international experience also brings with it an affinity for travel and other cultures.
Kathleen Ucci
Kathleen Ucci may not have been born in Sarasota, but there’s no doubt the veteran Realtor is a native through and through. Raised in Western New York, Kathleen was the daughter of educators who fostered in her the love of helping others. This altruism inspired first a career in education and then in nursing before raising her children.
With her children grown, Kathleen was ready for new scenery and a new career. The service aspect of real estate made the decision clear. For Kathleen, the requirements for success were environment, support and reputation – all strengths of Signature Sotheby’s.
With the ideal workplace, Kathleen quickly built her business with sincerity and enthusiasm. For her, real estate is about building the life you’ve dreamed of and watching what you have worked for take the shape of rooms and the perfect lifestyle.
Kathleen wakes up every morning to the sunrise and spends her days helping people find the home of their dreams. When she isn’t working she’s volunteering in the community, golfing, playing tennis or kayaking. The rest of the time she’s using her hard earned expertise in the Siesta Key, Palmer Ranch, and downtown Sarasota areas to make a difference.
